“He Has Crazy Arm Talent”: New York Giants Wide Receiver Malik Nabers Talks About Which Quarterback He Wants In the 2025 NFL Draft

The New York Giants will have the third overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. There is a chance that the Giants will be able to draft either Cam Ward from Miami or Shedeur Sanders from Colorado with that selection.

One player who needs to benefit from a quarterback change next season is wide receiver Malik Nabers. He was a stud as a rookie despite having to deal with quarterback purgatory. Nabers caught 109 passes for 1,204 yards receiving and seven touchdowns, along with averaging 11.0 yards per catch. He was also targeted 170 times.

During Super Bowl week, there are a lot of headlines that happen. Malik Nabers was on NFLSiriusXMNFL Radio on Super Bowl Row on Wednesday. He talked about Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward. Nabers said:

“He’s comfortable when he’s back there. He throws the ball in spots you’re not really supposed to throw the ball but he has crazy arm talent. He’s mobile. I’ve seen him come back from some games [where] I’m like, ‘Nah, this game’s over with’ and he’s just dottin’. He’s very efficient. He has crazy arm talent. “I feel like he’s a leader that wants to bring people along to win. I mean, you look at that Miami team through the years, without him their record wasn’t like that. You bring a guy like that on the team, you know, the record shows what kind of leader he is, what kind of quarterback he is.””

The biggest question will Ward be available third overall when the New York Giants are drafting. It is not a secret that the Giants need a quarterback. Daniel Jones, Tim Boyle, Drew Lock, and Tommy DeVito all took snaps under center last season for New York.

Cam Ward last season with the Hurricanes completed 67.2% of his passes for 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He is 6’2″ and weighs 223 lbs.

Whichever quarterback general manager Joe Schoen decides to draft this offseason, he better be right about that. It will be up to head coach Brian Daboll to develop the new quarterback properly and hopefully get him in rhythm with Malik Nabers right away also.
