The Miami Dolphins are in Tampa this week for joint practices with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in preparation to their first preseason game on Saturday. According to multiple sources it was the Dolphins defense that dominated. Reports from practice was that the Dolphins defense frustrated quarterback Tom Brady on multiple drives. While the offense had good plays it was the defense that stole the show. Brady was shown expressing his frustrations to Bruce Arians.
At one point during a two-minute drill, the defense was seen “sacking” Brady on three straight plays. It was defensive linemen Zach Sieler and Emmanuel Ogbah to record sacks during the drill. Ogbah was also able to deflect a Brady pass. The Buccaneer’s run game wasn’t able to get much going either.
Noah Igbinoghene was a low spot today as he was targeted on multiple occasions and gave up catches to multiple Buccaneers wide receivers. Third year safety Brandon Jones had a few physical breakups that seemed to drama extra attention from the Buccaneers sideline.
Coach Mcdaniels seems to have the Dolphins focused and ready for the season after a drama filled offseason. Many speculated the defense wouldn’t remain as aggressive without Brian Flores, but they look ready. As the week continues Miami looks to continue their momentum towards Saturday night’s game.
