Deshaun Watson, Cleveland Brown quarterback’s injury status was recently discussed by the team’s general manager Andrew Berry. On Thursday, Berry spoke to reporters and revealed that Watson has been responding to rehabilitation for his injured Achilles tendon very well. However, Berry did not reveal as to when the quarterback will be fit for a return to the NFL.
Watson has been playing for the Cleveland Browns since 2022 as their star quarterback. Before that, the 29-year-old quarterback played for the Houston Texans from 2017 to 2021. Prior to stepping foot in the NFL, Watson played college football for the Clemson Tigers from 2014 to 2016. However, his performance in the previous season was cut short as a result of his injured Achilles tendon.
“I can say Deshaun has done a great job of rehabbing. He’s been in every day. He’s progressing and that’s really our focus, but it’s too early to say.” Cleveland Browns general manager, Andrew Berry, said to reporters on Thursday about Deshaun Watson’s rehabilitation from his injury.
Deshaun Watson was brought in to the Cleveland Browns with the expectation that he will do a 180 degree revolution for the team. However, his performance has not been up to mark. In the 2024 NFL season, Watson managed to throw for 1,148 yards, scoring five touchdowns, while managing three interceptions for the team. When compared to his performance for the Houston Texans, Watson’s numbers for the Browns have been in a word ‘poor’.

Deshaun Watson Posts Instagram Video About His Recovery Journey
In other news about the Cleveland Browns quarterback, Deshaun Watson confessed in a recent Instagram video that he is hoping to prove his haters wrong. Watson has been undergoing rehabilitation for an injured Achilles tendon, which occurred earlier this year.
“Everyone don’t believe in me. Everyone don’t think I can get back to where I was. But I know, and I believe, [with] the work that I put in, that I believe in myself. The peace I’ve been channeling in these last couple months, I know I’m gonna be way better than before.” Deshaun Watson said in his recent Instagram video.

Watson has plenty to prove in the upcoming NFL, once his medicos give him the green-flag to play after his injury. After his subpar offense in the 2024 NFL season, the Cleveland Browns finished fourth in the AFC North after winning only three games, and losing 14.
