Deshaun Watson Gets Replaced By A Star SEC Quarterback In A New 2025 Mock Draft

Deshaun Watson hasn’t even taken a single snap in the 2024 season, but he is already getting replaced in a new 2025 NFL Mock Draft.

If the 2024 season doesn’t go as planned for Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, the team could head into a new direction in 2025, and one 2025 NFL Mock Draft has the Browns taking an SEC quarterback you will see every single Saturday in the fall competing in the biggest games.

    Carson Beck Heads To Cleveland

Georgia quarterback Carson Beck (15) throws a pass during the second half of the SEC Championship game against Alabama at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023. Alabama won 27-24.

According to USA Today’s Curt Popejoy, in the 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the Browns will pick at 16 and take Georgia’s star quarterback Carson Beck.

Clearly, in this mock, the Browns did not make the playoffs since they selected at 16. That means Watson probably had another rough season, and the Browns are looking for his replacement.

Beck will most likely not be Cleveland’s quarterback in 2025 because he will probably be the first quarterback off the board in next year’s draft. There is no way the Browns will be taking him unless something goes wrong and they somehow end up with a Top-Five pick, and there’s no way that can happen since the roster is good enough to win at least eight games if the team gets hit with the injury bug again.

There is a chance Deshaun Watson won’t be the starting quarterback in 2025, but he won’t have to worry about Carson Beck replacing him.

Watson can put all these mock draft talks to bed if he goes out and plays well this season, and there is no reason why he can’t do it. We have all seen Watson look like one of the three best quarterbacks in the NFL, and hopefully, that player returns this season.
