Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson could be forced to testify once again three years after the first sexual misconduct lawsuits against him were filed.
The lawsuits, which were filed by multiple different women, accuse Watson of sexual misconduct committed during massage sessions.
Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson didn’t properly answer questions in an earlier deposition

The reason for the potential resurfacing of this case is the fact that Watson’s attorney, Rusty Hardin, gave Watson improper instructions in the previous deposition. The attorney who represented the woman who previously tried to sue him in October of 2022 asked for another in-person deposition.
Hardin told Watson in the original deposition to not answer questions about other cases. One of those questions was something to the effect of asking Watson whether he’d been sexually aroused during previous massage sessions. In an article from USA Today, the direct request is quoted.
“Plaintiff seeks an order from this Court compelling the re-deposition of Defendant Watson in order to propound allowable discovery and have such answers produced,” said the court filing submitted by David Bickham, one of the woman’s attorneys.
Hardin denied the woman’s allegations citing the fact that this was the only case fired after the settlement of all the other cases in the same USA Today article.
“Not only is your lawsuit irrational and has no value at all, but we are not going to be trying other incidents in other cases,” Hardin said to Nguyen, according to the transcript. “There’s no secret in the world that he was sued by multiple women and settled multiple lawsuits.
·”But we are not going to try those cases again, and we’re not going to be answering questions about those other cases, all of which are the subject of Confidentiality Agreements.
“You − you jumped in at the last minute,” Hardin continued. “The evidence is going to show and has shown already with the filings just what a bogus lawsuit this is.· And you can’t just file a lawsuit against a man that has some money and then get to go into any and everything.
“Not going to happen. If you want to take it to the Court, you can do so, but he is not going to answer about other incidents.· You ask a man to come in here and ask did he ever get an erection during a massage, we’re not answering those kind of questions.
“We will answer anything you want about (the plaintiff in the case) and her − and his encounter with her.”
Many believe Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson has underperformed since signing with the Browns

Since signing a fully guaranteed five-year, $230 million contract, Watson has not been able to perform in the way that he did with the Houston Texans.
Watson served an 11-game suspension when he came back to the Browns, and when that is combined with the season-ending injury he suffered this year, Watson has only played 12 games for the Browns in two years.
Watson has had the worst completion rate and the worst yards per attempt in his entire career in the 12 games he’s played with the Browns. In 2022, he had a 58.2% completion rate with 6.5 yards per attempt. Before that, his lowest completion rate was 61.8% in his rookie year and his lowest yards per attempt was 7.8.
2023 saw a slight improvement for Watson as he bumped his completion rate up to 61.4%, but his yards per attempt stayed at 6.5%. In seven games during his rookie year, Watson had 1,699 yards passing and 19 touchdowns. In 2023, Watson had 1,115 yards passing and seven touchdowns.
Many fans think that the contract given to Watson was a massive overpay, especially considering the off-field trouble he has surrounding him.
Deshaun Watson continues to underperform, cementing himself as the 4th best QB in the AFC North and one of the worst contracts of all time.
