Deion Sanders continues to show off his recruiting prowess. The Colorado Buffaloes have remade their roster in the first three weeks of the transfer portal being open. Sanders stuck again and landed former Pittsburgh edge rusher Samuel Okunlola from the transfer portal.

Deion Sanders, Colorado Buffaloes Land Samuel Okunlola
Okunlola didn’t have a lot of stats but the ones he had were huge. In his first season with the Panthers, he tallied five sacks, six tackles for loss, and one forced fumble. He still has three years of eligibility left and is far from a finished product. The former three-star recruit will look to help the Buffaloes rise to the top of the Big 12. The defense struggled to stop opposing offenses last year so Sanders is making sure there are plenty of quality pass-rushers on the team.
Top Transfer Portal Class
It shouldn’t necessarily come as a surprise to us that Sanders is good at recruiting out of the transfer portal. He did it last year to prepare for his first season and he is following it up with another strong class. While there are a handful of teams that are having great offseasons, Colorado is the most notable. Many critics wondered whether the 4-8 season would make players sour on the idea of coming to play in Boulder. That is not the case as players seem to be flocking to play for Coach Prime.
Can Colorado compete in the Big 12? If they keep acquiring talent, it is going to be tough to keep them out of the conversation.
