Deion Sanders has completely remade the Colorado Buffaloes for 2024. The offensive line will likely feature all new players in the coming year and he has also landed some huge offensive weapons from the transfer portal. Sanders got another talented player from the transfer portal when Liberty cornerback Preston Hodge announced he is transferring to Colorado.

Hodge had an excellent season for the undefeated Flames. According to PFF, he had a coverage grade of 88.8 which puts him among the best in all of college football. He will now play opposite Travis Hunter on defense giving the Buffaloes two lockdown corners. In 2023, he had 48 tackles, eight passes deflected, two interceptions, and a forced fumble. It is yet another piece that fans are hoping can help the Buffaloes win more games than they did this year.

Commitments Keep Coming
Sanders is showing no signs of stopping. He has made it a mission to make this team better and so far he is executing his plan to perfection. If Sanders can keep this up, the Buffaloes might find themselves in the preseason top 25. The last time Colorado was ranked it didn’t go well but the team is hoping to build on last year. There were successes despite the losing record and the team is hoping to use the lessons they learned to improve next year.

Can Sanders keep this up? His recruiting pitch is clearly working and it would not shock me if more talent comes to Boulder throughout the offseason.
