Deion Sanders isn’t shy about sharing his opinions. The college football world was rocked yesterday when the committee put Alabama in the final four over the undefeated ACC champion Florida State. Sanders did an interview with 247Sports’ Carl Reed and had some strong opinions about the decision.
"You're not going to leave Georgia AND Alabama out. It ain't no playoff if you do that."@DeionSanders when asked if the CFP committee made the right decision in putting in Alabama over Florida State 🗣️

Deion Sanders On The College Football Playoff
As a Florida State alumni, one would think that he would be upset about the decision. Not so much. He understood the decision saying, “you’re not going to leave Georgia AND Alabama out. It ain’t no playoff if you do that.” This was the argument for putting Alabama in. The SEC is one of the premier conferences in college football and not having the champion of the conference does seem off. However, it is a tough pill to swallow for the Seminoles who did everything right throughout the season but still missed out.
Potential Fallout
The fallout from this decision has the potential to be huge. Teams may completely change how they schedule games. The ACC may lose some teams as an undefeated season now doesn’t guarantee a playoff appearance. Are we heading for two superconferences that will always have the final four? The Big Ten and SEC are expanding and they will likely become the two that many playoff teams reside in. An expanded playoff will help but this has the potential to make waves in the future.
Deion Sanders makes a good argument but it stinks for Florida State. They got the raw end of the deal. While the games may be more entertaining for the fans and get better ratings, the Seminoles and their fans will always feel robbed.
