Dan Campbell hopes to play against the Minnesota Vikings yet again, after defeating them in the last game of the season. On Sunday, the Detroit Lions played the Vikings and won against them with a final score of 31-9. In that game, Detroit’s quarterback Jared Goff attempted 33 passes and completed 27 of them for 231 yards. Goff managed to score a single touchdown for the team, while managing a pair of interceptions.
Meanwhile, Jahmyr Gibbs led the team on the ground with 23 carries for 139 yards, scoring thrice, while Amon-Ra St. Brown defended the Lions with six receptions for 77 yards. On the other side, QB Sam Darnold led the Vikings with 18 pass completions out of 41 attempts for 166 yards, while Cam Akers took charge of rushing with Justin Jefferson
“I’ll see you again in two weeks.” Coach Dan Campbell was filmed saying to Vikings coach, Kevin O’Connell.

The game was intriguing from start to finish with both the teams playing with a similar 14-2 record. While it may seem funny that Campbell would say such a thing to O’Connell, the Lions playing the Vikings is quite likely to happen. Minnesota finished their regular season with a 14-3 record and is highly plausible to meet the Lions after they take on the Los Angeles Rams next in a Wild Card entry.
Dan Campbell Satisfied With Detroit’s Performance This Season.
The Detroit Lions have stunned fans and critics this season, only lost two games so far. The Lions finished their regular season by grabbing the NFC North title, and this is the second time in a row that the team has managed to do so.
Coach Dan Campbell is in his fourth year with the team and is certainly happy with the way the team is playing. Along with Campbell, General Manager Brad Holmes is also in to his fourth year with the team.
In the 2024-25 NFL season, Jahmyr Gibbs has risen to another level for the Detroit Lions, and created a franchise record by scoring four touchdowns in a single game, that being against the Minnesota Vikings.
The Detroit offense has leaned heavily on quarterback Jared Goff who has impressed this season. As of now, Goff has accumulated a total of 4,629 yards for the team, with 37 impressive touchdowns and 12 interceptions so far. Meanwhile, Gibbs rushed 250 carries for 1,412 yards, scoring 16 touchdowns so far.
