Dan Campbell, Detroit Lions’ head coach, seems to be shaking in his knees as his team prepares to meet the Washington Commanders in the NFL Divisional Round this weekend. The Commanders took on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round, and blew everyone’s minds after defeating them, 23-20.
Washington’s quarterback, Jayden Daniels, was the ultimate hero of the matchup, going for 268 yards, and completing 24 passes out of 35 attempts, scoring twice. Daniels also led the team on the ground with 13 carries for 36 yards. In a recent press-meet, Coach Campbell discussed his feelings about taking on Daniels and the Commanders, remarking that the QB certainly does not play like a rookie.
“He’s dangerous, he’s dangerous. He poses a major threat. He does not play the position like a rookie quarterback. He’s composed, he understands how to progress, he sees the field well, he can buy time with his legs, he’s a dangerous runner. You know, he’s smart, you can tell he understands how to run that offense, what they’re asking him to do, and then he’s got weapons around him. The receivers are pretty good. Got a good back, more than one receiver. He’s a difference-maker” Coach Dan Campbell said to reporters.

Dan Campbell and the Lions had a bye week and lastly played against the Minnesota Vikings in the last game of the regular season, defeating them with a final score of 31-9. The Detroit Lions finished the regular season in the first position of the NFC North with 15 wins and a pair of defeats.
Dan Campbell’s Detroit Lions Might Soon Get A New Logo
Meanwhile, Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions might soon wear a brand new logo after Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced a state-wide logo contest. Whitmer has been a fan of her state’s football team for a long time, and also tried to create her own version of the Detroit Lions logo last year.
In her statement, Whitmer seemed quite excited that the Detroit Lions have a shot at the Super Bowl this year, and called on fans to submit their logo version in order to show their support for the team.
Currently, Campbell and the Lions are training to take on the Washington Commanders for the NFL Divisional Round which will be held this weekend. The two have not played each other in the regular season, and will clearly enthrall fans at Ford Field on Saturday evening.
