Dallas Cowboys make a trade Tuesday
The Dallas Cowboys are boosting one of the better secondaries in the NFL with a trade Tuesday afternoon. The Cowboys announced they re-signed safety Donovan Wilson to a two-year extension. The Cowboys are making a push to have a fierce secondary, as the team has cornerback Trevon Diggs returning this season.
According to Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, the Colts are trading cornerback Stephon Gilmore to Dallas. The Colts will get a fifth-round compensatory draft pick in return for Gilmore.

Gilmore is a five-time Pro Bowl athlete. The former 2012 first-round pick won a Super Bowl LIII with the New England Patriots. Gilmore has 29 interceptions in his lengthy career. He recorded two interceptions for the Colts last season.
The Colts are rebuilding their team under first-year head coach Shane Steichen. A fifth-round pick can help them bring in young talent. Gilmore can now go compete for another Super Bowl with the Cowboys.
