The Dallas Cowboys have now made it threee straigh wins after their dominant 45-10 blowout win against the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
Dallas continues to keep up the pace with the 10-1 Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East, and they’re now looking to bring in some reinforcement to help with their chase.
Dallas Cowboys Have Shaquille Leonard on Their Radar
According to multiple reports, the Cowboys have shown significant interest on three-time All-Pro linebacker Shaquille Leonard, who was recently waived by the Indianapolis Colts. There’s no denying that Leonard, who has been held back by injuries over the past year or so, is currently a shadow of his former self. However, it’s also true that this man still has a lot of gas left in the tank.
On Sunday, Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed that the Cowboys are indeed looking at the prospect of bringing in Leonard:
“I don’t have anything to report on Shaq, but yes, definitely, there’s interest,” McCarthy said, via Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News.
McCarthy’s revelation comes after owner Jerry Jones said last week that the team has not ruled out the posisbility of adding Leonard:
“We’ll see how we do with our evaluation and look at him pretty good,” Jones said, via Charean Williamd of PFT. “[We’ll] look at some health things [with Leonard]. I know a lot of teams are looking at him, so I don’t want to give an indication of the degree of our interest with him.”
Shaquille Leonard to Take Major Step Toward Cowboys Move
It is now being reported that the Cowboys are taking the necessary steps to recruit Leonard. According to Charean Williams of PFT, the Pro Bowl LB is now headed to Dallas for a visit:
“Free agent linebacker Shaquille Leonard will visit the Cowboys on Tuesday, according to multiple reports,” Williams wrote.
This is obviously a major step towards what appears to be William’s imminent move to the Cowboys.
