The Dallas Cowboys were 3-2 entering the day against the Detroit Lions, who were 3-1 on the season. Detroit looked fresh off of a bye and dominated Dallas in the first half. Detroit took a 27-6 lead into the halftime locker room.
In the third quarter, Detroit extended its lead to 34-6 and many Dallas fans were frustrated with the team not showing up. The Lions are proving in this game they are one of the best teams in the NFL and the Cowboys might be an average to a below-average team.
Dallas Cowboys Fans Frustrated And Want Head Coach Mike McCarthy Fired
Cowboys fans are upset with the way Mike McCarthy has been this season coaching the team. They have not looked good at all when they are the home team. Here is what the Cowboys fans said on Twitter during the game about McCarthy:
Dear Jerry Jones…Fire Mike McCarthy. This is embarrassing.

Please fire Mike McCarthy. I can’t watch too many more of Zeke getting the ball on 1st and 10 runs.

Mike McCarthy needs to be fired. These players aren’t even playing with any fire. None of them want to be there. This defense is terrible. Dak is terrible. The whole team is terrible.

Fire all of the Mike’s.

Cowboys have a BYE next week and still won’t fire Mike McCarthy. What a shame
— Cliff Clinton (@CliffClinton) October 13, 2024
There are a lot of upset fans about McCarthy and they have a right to be upset with him for them not showing up so far. The anger should be pointed toward owner Jerry Jones.
Dallas Cowboys Bye Next Week
The Cowboys will be on a bye next week. After the bye week, they will be on the road against the San Francisco 49ers. San Francisco is a team that Dallas has struggled with over the past several meetings.
The Cowboys are going to be in the headlines big time during the bye week. The Detroit Lions remembered what happened to them in Dallas, Texas last season and Dan Campell had his team ready to play.
