The Philadelphia Eagles entered their Week 5 bye after being destroyed 33-16 in an ugly loss on the road to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Eagles were 2-2, and it appears head coach Nick Sirianni felt the pressure heading into Sunday’s matchup at home against the Cleveland Browns.
Sirianni was placed on the hot seat by many analysts before the regular season after the Eagles lost seven of their final eight games (including a Divisional Round loss to the Buccaneers). The start of the 2024 season didn’t have many in Philadelphia feeling confident about their head coach.
The Philadelphia Eagles had a weak win on Sunday
Off the bye, the Eagles came out and won unconvincingly against one of the worst teams in the league. The Browns are a dumpster fire this season, as Cleveland is handicapped by being held hostage by the worst NFL contract in the league’s history with Deshaun Watson.
The Eagles were tied 10-10 at halftime to a Browns team that has won just one game all season. When Philadelphia was getting set to take a knee to end the game with a 20-16 score over a 1-5 Cleveland team, Sirianni thought it would be classy to go over to the bleachers to make rude gestures to the audience at Lincoln Financial Field.

NFL fans react to Sirianni’s actions.
Fans were impressed with Sirianni taunting the crowd on Sunday.
“He knows he sucks,” one fan wrote.
“Beat “Deshaun Watson” by 4 at home,” another taunted.
“This guy is the definition of a tool bag and what the Eagles’ downfall will be,” posted another.
“Imagine chirping your own fans after barely beating a bottom 3 team in the league,” commented a fan.
“Biggest front runner of all time i almost gotta respect it,” joked a poster.
“I’m sure his players and his coaching staff think thats super cool,” suggested another.
