The Dallas Cowboys will be looking at many ways to improve the offensive line in the 2024 NFL Draft. They did not bring back left tackle Tyron Smith and he left in NFL free agency for the New York Jets. Dallas has not made many moves this offseason and they will look for a new blindside tackle for quarterback Dak Prescott.

There are other positions that the Cowboys are going to have to address in the 2024 NFL Draft. Wide receiver, running back, and defensive line is also going to have to be addressed along with the offensive line position. Dallas has one of the weakest running back rooms in the NFL and they need another wide receiver to rely on other than CeeDee Lamb.
The Dallas Cowboys Select Offensive Lineman Tyler Guton From the Oklahoma Sooners In the 2024 NFL Draft To Replace Tyron Smith

In the latest 2024 NFL Mock Draft on Bleacher Report, they have the Dallas Cowboys selecting offensive lineman Tyler Guyton with the 24th selection. He played college football at Oklahoma. The Bleacher Report Scouting Department said about Guyton:
“With Tyron Smith’s free-agent departure to the New York Jets, Tyler Smith won’t automatically make the transition back to left tackle. The younger Smith earned his first Pro Bowl bid this past season as a left guard.“We’ll keep him at guard right now, see how it unfolds,” Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters at the NFL’s owners meetings. “… As of today. Let’s fill out the room, and then we’ll look at it.” The room looks rather empty after it lost Tyron Smith and center Tyler Biadasz. The addition of a first-round tackle prospect will go a long way to help offset these losses. Oklahoma’s Tyler Guyton is a smart investment at this juncture.
The idea of drafting Guyton for Dallas is for him to be Smith’s replacement moving forward. They need to get younger on the offensive line and not make people learn a different position that they are not used to. The Dallas Cowboys have been criticized this offseason for not making many moves.

Guyton is 6’8″ and weighs 322 lbs. He will need to be good in the NFL right away because the Dallas Cowboys will need to replace Tyron Smith at the left tackle position. Smith was one of the best left tackles in the NFL and it won’t be easy to replace, but they have to find their next rock at that position, which is one of the most important positions in the NFL.
