After the Dallas Cowboys were bounced from the playoffs, Dak Prescott took the brunt of the blame. Some people wondered what the team would decide to do with Prescott. It was reported today that the Dallas Cowboys are fully committed to Dak Prescott.

Dallas Cowboys Fully Committed To Dak Prescott
Stephen Jones says that Dak could be the QB for “the next 10 years” and the team is looking to extend him to manipulate the cap. The team is fully behind Dak as their QB for the long term. Even though there have been some rocky moments, especially this season, the Cowboys are happy with the overall performance of the team. Dak has won a lot of games for the Cowboys and this season was a huge success after many predicted they would take a step back. In an NFC conference with a lot of QB questions, Dak is one of the best.
The Right Decision
Don’t believe the media on Dak. He has been one of the most productive QBs since he entered the league. The Ringer’s Steven Ruiz wrote a full piece on Dak’s numbers which I highly recommend reading but I’ll summarize it here. This season, he finished in the top 10 in yards per dropback, accuracy rate, EPA per dropback, and success rate, per TruMedia. Prescott was easily one of the most productive QBs.

In the past, his playoff losses haven’t been because of Dak. His 2016 loss to the Packers saw Prescott match Aaron Rodgers throw for throw. They were only beaten because of an all-time great throw from Rodgers to Jared Cook and then an insane Mason Crosby field goal. His loss in 2018 to the Los Angeles Rams was against one of the greatest offenses of all time and Prescott held his own.
The Cowboys should be fully committed to Dak Prescott. Now they need to build a team around him.
