Dak Prescott’s whopping $240 million four-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys was recently discussed by Stephen Jones, son of Jerry Jones on ‘105.3 The Fan’. While his father is the main owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Stephen Jones is a co-owner and the CEO/Vice-President of the franchise.
Prescott is currently the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL for the 2024 NFL season with his crazy contract. While the large amount of money shows the confidence that the Dallas Cowboys have placed on the player, the quarterback has simply not churned out the numbers that the team expects, mainly because of his injury woes.

Dak Prescott suffered a severe hamstring injury in Week 9 of the 2024 NFL season in a game against the Atlanta Falcons. The injury cut his season short and the QB had to undergo surgery for the same. As a result of their star quarterback being injured, the Dallas Cowboys were hit in terms of offense and finished third in the NFC East after winning seven games and losing ten. The Cowboys finished their season after last playing the Washington Commanders, losing 23-19.

Dak Prescott Encourages Seeking Help After Kyren Lacy’s Death
Dak Prescott knows only too well the highs and lows of a footballer’s life. After young Kyren Lacy’s apparent suicide over the weekend, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback encouraged people to seek help for their mental health through an Instagram story.
“Please!!! Ask 4 Help. It doesn’t have to end that way! It takes all of us.” Dak Prescott shared through his Instagram story after Kyren Lacy’s death.

Kyren Lacy, who last played for the LSU Tigers as a wide receiver, crashed his car in an apparent suicide on Saturday night after a police pursuit. Lacy was involved in legal trouble after his rash driving resulted in a negligent homicide. Lacy was in fact touted to be a top prospect in the 2025 NFL draft. Lacy’s death not only got reactions from Dak Prescott, but many other athletes who encouraged seeking therapy and help for mental health.
