The Dallas Cowboys know that this upcoming season will need to be successful if they don’t want a massive amount of backlash from their fans. After three straight 13-win seasons, injuries derailed their 2024 season. Their reaction was to fire head coach Mike McCarthy and take their franchise in a different direction.
That different direction could include a big weapon for their ground game.

Dak Prescott would be relieved of some pressure if he had a playmaker at the running back position:
Chad Reuter of NFL.com recently released a new four-round mock draft. In that mock draft, he had the Cowboys selecting Ohio State standout running back TreVeyon Henderson in the second round at No. 51 overall.
During the 2024 college football season, Henderson was a big part of leading the Buckeyes to a national championship win. He carried the football 144 times for 1,016 yards and 10 touchdowns, while also catching 27 passes for 284 yards and a touchdown.
As a whole in his four-year Ohio State career, the dynamic running back picked up 3,761 yards and 42 touchdowns on the ground, while also racking up 853 yards and six touchdowns as a receiver.
Dallas would be landing an important piece to their offense with this move and a running back who has been compared to current NFL star Aaron Jones .
