The Baltimore Ravens had to address the cornerback position during the offseason, with four currently under contract after losing three key contributors. The Ravens cut Arthur Maulet, then Brandon Stephens signed with the New York Jets, and Tre’Davious White remains unsigned. T.J. Tampa, their projected starter, only played seven games with 18 snaps in his rookie season, and Jalyn Armour-Davis, their next man up, has only played 19 games with three starts in his first three seasons.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Ravens signed former Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, and Tennesee Titans cornerback Chidobe Awuzie to a one-year, league-minimum contract.

Awuzie is on his fourth team and is in his ninth year in the NFL. The 29-year-old has ample experience throughout his career, with over 81 regular-season and six postseason starts. He can either start alongside Nate Wiggins on the outside or serve as the top backup in case of an emergency.

The Tennesee Titans signed Chidobe Awuzie to a three-year, $36 million contract. Awuzie had a solid 2024 season but missed half of the year, Weeks 4-13, with a groin injury. He recorded one interception and four pass deflections and allowed a 57.7% completion percentage, 187 yards, two touchdowns, and an 89.7 passer rating in eight games and seven starts.

Awuzie had a $3.98 million roster bonus due on March 17, which would have guaranteed $3.98 million of his $11.49 million base salary in 2025. However, the Titans decided to cut him before the deadline.
