The Colorado Buffaloes seemingly had a rough stretch during the early signing period of the class of 2024 as they were only able to sign five players. They were in line to get the best offensive lineman in the class in Jordan Seaton after he verbally committed but never signed and speculation ran wild of a potential flip of his commitment.
However, Jordan Seaton officially signed with the Colorado Buffaloes on Friday night. This is obviously going to be a huge story as the IMG Academy product is going to be protecting quarterback Shedeur Sanders going forward.
The No. 1 offensive lineman in America is a Buff!

This was the Colorado Buffaloes biggest weakness in 2023 as Shedeur Sanders was constantly getting hit. The Buffs allowed 52 total sacks and were giving up constant pressures throughout the season to the point Sanders ended the year with a fracture in his back. Adding the top offensive lineman in the high school class is going to do wonders for the team heading to the Big 12 Conference.
While appearing on The Rich Eisen Show, Jordan Seaton made it known he is ready to help build Boulder into a powerhouse.
“I didn’t want to go somewhere and just be another guy. I wanted to make history and start from the ground up.”
How better will the Colorado Buffaloes be with Jordan Seaton?
The Colorado Buffaloes showcased that they can be a great team as they were able to start the season 3-0 but eventually ended with a 4-6 record overall. While Jordan Seaton is not the only star player joining the Buffs, the team is going to be better as they head to the Big 12 Conference.
This is the second season of coach Deion Sanders being associated with the program and should continue to improve as he gets more talent. Remember that Colorado had a NCAA-record of transfer players joining together and now they get a full offseason together.
Seaton being an offensive lineman to help boost the weakest part of the program, that will be great for the team. This should put the Colorado Buffaloes in contention for a bowl game as they had the skill position talent but if they can add defense, they will be in the conversation as a dark horse team for the Big 12 Championship.
With better offensive linemen, the defense is in less compromisable positions as the offense stays on the field and extends drives. Expect Boulder to draw more big-ticket players with Coach Prime leading the way.
