Believe it or not, it is only a month away from the start of the college football season. It is time to look at the 4 teams that are likely to be in the college football playoff this year and predict the outcomes.
Final 4
- Alabama: Coming off a national title loss last season, Alabama hopes to put together another dominant year. Bryce Young might be able to win 2 Heisman Trophies in a row which is hard to do. The defense is as dominant as ever, and Nick Saban is still Nick Saban. There is no reason not to put Alabama in the top 4 at the end of the year.
- Ohio State: Ohio State is on a revenge tour after their heartbreaking loss to arch rival Michigan last year. CJ Stroud is a stud, and it will be interesting to see if he can continue what he did last year. As a freshman, he threw for 44 touchdowns with only 6 interceptions. Ohio State was disappointed to not make it to the playoff last year.
- Georgia: Georgia is looking for their 2nd national championship in a row. They lost some key pieces of their defense last year in the NFL draft. Their defense will still be dominant though. Their offense can improve from last year.
- Clemson: They went 10-3 and it was considered a down year. The loss of Trevor Lawrence in the draft really hurt the Clemson offense. They still were able to get to 10 wins and this year Clemson will be better. Clemson is always in the college football playoff.
Conclusion:
Ohio State is winning it all this year. CJ Stroud is going to continue to impress and that offense is going to put up a lot of points. They also want to seek revenge on Michigan after what happened last year. Ohio State will beat Alabama for the national title
