The Texas Longhorns defeated the Arizona State Sun Devils in double overtime on Wednesday in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl by a final score of 39-31. Texas advanced to the semifinals of the college football playoffs against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The next game for the Longhorns will be on Friday. January 10, at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. The semifinals of the college football playoffs will be played at A T&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It will also be the Cotton Bowl matchup.
Texas Longhorns Mascot Bevo Will Return To the Sidelines For the Ohio State Buckeyes Matchup
Bevo was not on the sidelines for the SEC Championship Game or the Peach Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia because there was not enough room on the sidelines at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Now, the Texas Longhorns mascot will be allowed to return for the Cotton Bowl.
This is great news for the Longhorns fanbase. This next game will be close to home for them since the game will be played in Arlington, Texas and it is a reasonable driving distance from Austin, Texas.

Was that not their inspiration, what are they even playing for now? Texas will be too comfortable and lose with Bevo on the field

A lot of fans were disappointed that he wasn’t on the sidelines for the other two games. There is no doubt that the Texas Longhorns mascot, Bevo, will be on trending on social media when they face the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl next weekend.
