Former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Air Noland was looking for a new home for the 2025 season. He entered his name in the transfer portal and it was a very interesting situation for him. Noland was one of the top quarterback recruits for the class of 2024. He is 6’2″, weighs 192 lbs, and is from College Park, Georgia.
Intriguingly, he left Ohio State quickly. One of the schools that’s trying to get him for next season and beyond is the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Air Noland Commits To the South Carolina Gamecocks Football Program
On Monday, Hayes Fawcett of on3 reported that Nolan has committed to South Carolina for next season and beyond. This is a really interesting decision for him. He will not start next season for the Gamecocks because they have LaNorris Sellers. South Carolina has a chance to be dangerous next season in the SEC Conference under head coach Shane Beamers.
The Gamecocks have another talented quarterback in the program. Because Sellers did suffer an injury at one point this season, it would be a good thing for them to have a reliable backup quarterback. Noland is an interesting backup option for them.

Great spot for him. Sellers will obviously be the guy but he’ll get opportunities to get on the field next year. If Sellers can ball out and refine his game he can be a top QB in the draft after next season and it’ll be Nolands chance

The Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback situation next season is either Julian Sayin or incoming freshman Tavien St. Clair. Air Noland was probably not going to be starting for head coach Ryan Day at all. It was an interesting move for him to go from Ohio State to South Carolina.
