The Indiana Hoosiers have been one of the biggest Cinderella stories in college football this season. Indiana finished the regular season with an 11-1 record and they didn’t make the BIG10 Championship Game. The most important thing is that they are heading in the right direction under head coach Curt Cignetti.

As for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, they also finished the season with an 11-1 record. Notre Dame is not in any conference. These two college football teams will face each other in the first round of the college football playoffs in South Bend, Indiana. The winner of this game will face #2 Georgia Bulldogs in the next round.
Rick Neuheisel Of CBS Sports Thinks That the Indiana Hoosiers Will Go On the Road and Upset The Notre Dame Fighting Irish

On Tuesday, the CBS Sports panel was making their first-round picks of the 2024 college football playoffs. Indiana and Notre Dame will be the only game played on Friday, December 20 at 8 p.m. ET. CBS Sports Rick Neuheisel thinks that an upset can be in store in the Indiana Hoosiers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Neuheisel said:
“Give me IU. I’m not ready to cancel the Church of Cignetti.”
This is one bold statement from him. A lot of people think that the Irish are going to beat the Hoosiers. It will be interesting to see what happens in this game. It will also be a good coaching matchup between Curt Cignetti and Marcus Freeman.

Shocker, dude hates the Irish and always has a bad take.

Same guy that picked USC, I’m shocked.

No, ND will make them one dimensional. Run all over them. I say 31-21 ND

Notre Dame’s defense is ranked 34th against the rush, not 51st like Neuheisel is claiming in that clip.

There is a reason why he is not coaching anymore. Give me the IRISH in a 35 to 10 win moving on to second round.

A lot of people think that the Irish are going to beat the Hoosiers in this matchup. It would feel like a surprise if Indiana beat Notre Dame, but the only ones who wouldn’t be surprised is the Indiana Hoosiers fanbase, coaches, and players.
