The Cleveland Browns turned the NFL world upside down in March of 2022 when they traded for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. The former Clemson quarterback was supposed to come into Cleveland and become a major star. Still, after only two years of appearing in 12 games, Watson has looked like one of the worst quarterbacks in the league, and now the Browns are faced with some pretty big decisions moving forward with the veteran quarterback.
Cleveland Browns Could Make Up For Their Mistake

When Watson was traded from the Houston Texans in 2022, four teams were in the running for him: the Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, and New Orleans Saints.
One team that was supposed to be favorites to land him for a long time was the Miami Dolphins, who pulled themselves out of the race for Watson and decided to roll with Tua Tagovailoa, heading into his third season.
Now, Tagovailoa has turned himself into one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, and he is heading into the last year of his contract. However, the Miami Dolphins do not want to pay him at the moment, and that could lead to the star quarterback being traded.
Could Watson Be Traded For Tagovailoa

Before the NFL Draft, ESPN Analyst Mike Tannenbaum proposed a trade that would send Watson and a second-round pick to the New York Giants for quarterback Daniel Jones. Obviously, that trade never happened, but if the Browns were to trade Watson to the Dolphins for Tagovailoa, the Browns would have to be willing to move on from high draft picks to go along with Watson since he is making so much money.

A trade is probably very unlikely, but if things don’t turn around for Watson during training camp and Tagovailoa still doesn’t have a contract, there could be moves made that nobody sees coming.

Your nuts, not literally but just your opinion on who Cleveland should trade for, In fact, such a trade would benefit the Dolphins more than the Browns and I know Cleveland GM Andrew Berry and the Browns owner Mr. Haslam know better and here is my opinion of why. Tagovailoa is not an elite QB. He is good but not realistically among the top NFL QBs at this time especially when he has concussion issues. I do not feel he will even get the Dolphins anywhere. They might make the playoffs in the next 2 years but will not get to even an AFC championship in my opinion. Watson was banned for 11 games his 1st year and that shouldn’t even count against him. His second year it should be noted he played in 6 games and went 5-1 before he was injured. I do think this season and next year are put up or shut up seasons for both QBs but a trade for Tua by the Browns for DeShaun would be very stupid. Most Cleveland fans whether they like Watson or not will not want Tagovailoa in a trade for him. Tua I just can’t see lasting no more than 2 seasons due to his concussion issues. Do you know how many former NFL players have sued the NFL due to health issues affecting their brain due to concussions from playing so many years and taking hits to the skull so many times. It is actually a serious problem and even though players play at their own risk in mine and several other people’s opinions, the NFL has had to pay out several settlements and so they have already put new rules in place to try and limit concussions which have affected players like Tua, so I appreciate your opinion but it is wrong.
