The Cleveland Browns made a bold move two years ago when they traded for Houston Texans star quarterback Deshaun Watson, and right now, it has been one of the worst moves in the NFL.
Deshaun Watson Hasn’t Done A Thing In Two Years
Deshaun Watson was supposed to come to Cleveland and fix their quarterback issues since 1999, but he has only added to those problems. The former Clemson star has only played in 12 games in the last two years, was suspended for 11 of them in 2022, and started only six games in 2023 due to a shoulder injury. One former NFL star thinks Watson is one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL.
James Jones Has Had Enough Of Watson
Former NFL wide receiver James Jones, who spent nine seasons in the league, eight in Green Bay and one with Oakland, knows a thing or two about great quarterback play. He doesn’t think Watson is close to being great and even thinks he could be out of the league shortly.
Last week’s show, Speak, which airs on Fox Sports every weekday, featured a segment on who has more pressure on them this season: Watson or Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott. Jones stated that if “Watson doesn’t play well, he will be out of Cleveland, and we just saw Joe Flacco take the Browns to the playoffs last season, so the pressure is on him.” Jones also said, keeping it real, that Watson has been one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL, and since he got to the Cleveland Browns, it’s been a lot of what are you doing plays. ”

Jones has some very good points, and if Watson doesn’t figure it out this season, it will be a long offseason in Cleveland next year, and there could be a change for the team in 2025.
