Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah had an exceptional third season in the NFL, notching career highs in every major category, including tackles, TFLs, sacks, interceptions, and pass deflections. He recorded 101 tackles, 20 TFLs, 3.5 sacks, two interceptions, six pass deflections, and one forced fumble, and made it to his first Pro Bowl. He also posted a 70.0 coverage grade, an 84.2 pass rush grade, a 68.9 run defense grade, and a 75.3 PFF grade per PFF.
JOK enters his fourth season and is eligible for an extension since he finished his third season per Article 7 of the CBA.
“A Rookie Contract for a Drafted Rookie may not be renegotiated, amended or altered in any way until after the final regular season game of the player’s third contract year.”
A reporter from Cleveland.com suggests that JOK could be in line for an extension.

“Another extension to keep an eye on is the one for Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who took a big step up last season, and is heading into the final year of his contract,” Mary Kay Cabot said. “The Browns will undoubtedly want to get him wrapped up either before the season or sometime in the first half of it, and let him focus on becoming a Pro Bowl linebacker.”
