Cleveland Browns Offensive Tackle helped the team convert most of his contract for the 2024 season.
NFL Media said the Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. restructured his contract. The team converted $10.44 million of Wills’ $14.175 million fifth-year option to a restructure bonus, according to Cleveland.com, which saves that much on the cap.

Jedrick Wills will be in line for an extension soon, but for now, he and the Cleveland Browns are happier than they were yesterday.
Cleveland Browns Star Tackle
Jedrick Wills was drafted 10th overall in 2020. Since then, he has started every game for the Cleveland Browns.
Per PFF, Wills allowed 89 pressures, 54 hurries, and 15 sacks through his first three seasons. He led the Browns in pressures permitted in each of his seasons. 2021 was the only season he wasn’t first; he was second.
Among offensive tackles, he rose from tying for 48th in most pressures allowed his rookie year (20) to tying for 10th in his third season (41).
The Browns have run behind Wills 46% of the time this season, the third-highest rate among offensive linemen. But he’s recorded a 3.3% blown block rate and 0.6 yards before contact created per rushing attempt, both at the bottom of league averages.
Wills has room to grow, but converting his contract allows for more options in free agency. He will need a solid 2024 season to earn top dollar as a left tackle.
