The Cleveland Browns will kick off on Monday Night Football against the Denver Broncos in a few hours, but even if they win or lose the game, they still need a lot of offensive help this offseason.
Cleveland needs help at almost every position on the offense, and they can’t go wrong at any spot in the NFL Draft next April. One new mock draft has the Browns taking their offensive tackle of the future.
The Cleveland Browns Select A SEC Tackle
Trevor Sikkema from Pro Football Focus published a three-round mock draft, and the Browns are taking LSU offensive tackle WILL Campbell, and stated.
Cleveland needs to address offensive tackle in a major way, and it doesn’t matter who plays quarterback because if they don’t fix their tackle position, they will be in trouble for many years.Of all the disappointments for the Browns this season, their offensive line has been the most surprising. While their ideal starting five has been serviceable when fully healthy, it hasn’t resembled the dominant unit of years past. With offensive tackle Jedrick Wills set to hit free agency and guards Joel Bitonio and Wyatt Teller aging into their 30s and nearing free agency the following year, the Browns need reinforcements. Campbell offers one of the highest ceilings among blockers in this class and could thrive as a full-time guard at the next level.
The Browns could also take a wide receiver in this spot, but at the moment, offensive line help seems more needed than a wide receiver, and there is a chance they could draft a nice receiver at the start of the second round.
