Clemson Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney has had a good week on the recruiting trail. Earlier this week, he landed a top edge prospect from the 2025 class, and he is adding to it on Sunday. Four-star offensive tackle Braydon Jacobs announced he is coming to Clemson.

Jacobs is the son of former New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs. The 6-foot-6, 310-pound tackle is considered to be in the top 20 in the 2025 class. At an Under Armor camp, On3’s Sam Spiegelman had this to say about Jacobs.
“The son of former Auburn and New York Giants RB Brandon Jacobs, the 2025 OL is certainly looking the part at a different position. Like his father, the younger Jacobs passes the eye test at 6-foot-6 and 315 pounds with a tremendous wingspan. Lining up at guard, the Buford (Ga.) rising junior flashed quick feet and was impressive anticipating and countering some of the upperclassmen along the defensive line. Jacobs has length and packed some powerful jabs to set a base and looks capable of being a movable piece along the offensive line.”
This is another massive get for Swinney and his staff. The offensive line is one of the most important units in football, and Clemson is trying to lock down their future.
2025 Class So Far
Jacobs is the ninth commitment in the 2025 cycle for the Tigers. According to On3, they have the fifth-ranked recruiting class in 2025. They are behind LSU, Ohio State, Georgia, and Oregon, making them the highest-rated ACC team. Obviously, there is a lot of time left, but having this many recruits committed already is a good look for the program. After dominating the college football world for a while, the Tigers haven’t been able to duplicate that success. A class like this may change that.
Things are looking up for the Clemson Tigers, but it is still unclear how they will look in 2024. The ACC goes through Florida State, and the Tigers will have to take them down in order to take the ACC.
