While many players have struggled with their image, Cincinnati Bengals superstar quarterback Joe Burrow has managed an almost immaculate image as an elite teammate and stellar leader. Even though that was a big part of what Cincinnati was signing up for when they took him with the first overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, it really is remarkable just how good of an image Burrow has maintained as the homegrown hero returning to southern Ohio to lead the city to a championship.
Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Meets Disgraced President at UFC
While many fans won’t hold it against him, Burrow certainly chose polarizing company when he attended the recent UFC 299 event in Miami, Florida. Burrow clearly attended the event with his former Ohio State teammates San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa and Cincinnati defensive end Sam Hubbard but even though he went with his teammates, he mingled with the other celebrities there.
One of those celebrities happened to be disgraced former President of the United States Donald Trump as the 45th President clearly embraced the bizarre image that he has cultivated for himself.

Regardless of which stance you take politically, there is no argument that Trump is the most polarizing figure in the world at the moment and any affiliation with him should be avoided by the superstar quarterback. Trump has made an incredibly long list of public relations faux pas ranging from berating people with mental disabilities to worshiping authoritarian dictators around the world.
While Burrow has kept his political view to himself, Bosa has been incredibly outspoken and doesn’t hide the fact that he is likely meeting his idol at the event. From posing with his thumb up next to the former reality television star to giving the Republican Politician a hug, Bosa made a clear and obvious statement regarding his political affiliation.
Trump is facing a list of criminal charges throughout the country right now and also coordinating his election run after primary challenger Nikki Haley dropped out of the race earlier this week. Given his busy legal and political schedule, it is interesting that the former leader of the free world managed to find time to attend a UFC event that included other reality starts Logan and Jake Paul.
While I am certainly no fan of ex-president Trump, I actually spent some time watching the footage of the UFC event to try to gauge how Burrows wrist is looking. In several clips, Burrow was seen clapping and appears to be fully recovered in a non-athletic capacity heading into the 2024 offseason. After returning to health, Burrow should probably avoid contact with such polarizing figures as political statements have ruined the careers of many quarterbacks before him.
