The 8-8 Cincinnati Bengals will travel to Pennsylvania to play against the 10-6 Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium on Saturday night for Week 18 of the regular season. To clinch a playoff berth, Cincinnati must win against Pittsburgh, the Miami Dolphins must lose to the New York Jets, and the Denver Broncos must lose to the resting Kansas City Chiefs. The Bengals entered the short week with two key offensive starters dealing with injuries.
Cincinnati Bengals star RB suffered an ankle injury in Week 17
Chase Brown suffered an ankle injury late in the fourth quarter in Week 17 against the Denver Broncos after sliding at the one-yard line instead of scoring a walk-in touchdown and his right leg bent under him. He limped off the field and did not return for the remainder of the game. Tests determined that Brown suffered a high-ankle sprain but is determined to play in their regular-season finale, and the short week of practice would determine his availability.

The Bengals rookie offensive tackle is also banged up
Amarius Mims suffered a broken hand in Week 16 against the Cleveland Browns and missed the second half of Week 17 against the Denver Broncos because of it. Mims also sustained an ankle injury in Week 5 against the Baltimore Ravens but didn’t miss any time because of it. However, he injured his ankle again in Week 16 against the Browns.
Both players are game-time decisions, according to their head coach
Chase Brown did not practice during their short week, while Amarius Mims was limited. The Bengals will soon release the week’s final injury report, and both players are questionable. According to Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer, via head coach Zac Taylor, Brown and Mims are game-time decisions. Taylor also said, “We’ll see,” when asked about their availability for Saturday night.
