2025 started great for the Ohio State Buckeyes because they put up another fantastic performance in the college football playoffs.
A few weeks ago, Ohio State went nuts on Tennessee, winning 42-17 to set up a reach match with Oregon. This matchup was nothing like the one college football saw in mid-October.

Oregon got the better of the Buckeyes that day, winning 32-31. Still, on New Year’s Day, they would watch Ohio State starting quarterback Will Howard throw for 319 yards and three scores., while true freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith caught seven receptions for 187 yards and two touchdowns.
The Buckeyes won the game dominatingly, 41-21, and will head to the Cotton Bowl next week to play Texas for a spot in the National Title game.
The narrative around the Buckeyes has changed over the last month. Four weeks ago, many fans wanted head coach Ryan Day fired after a fourth straight loss to Michigan. Still, after dominating performances in the previous two games, fans now think they could go all the way.
Of course, Ohio State fans took to social media to start trolling Oregon fans after their big-time loss. They even made fun of them for not having a national title but having millions of uniform combinations.
