Since Joe Burrow arrived in the NFL, the Cincinnati Bengals have been a force on offense. However, they failed to make the playoffs in the 2023 NFL campaign in large part because of key injuries on the team, including that of Burrow’s. That was reiterated recently by the Bengals quarterback when he opened up about his injury and the journey back to 100% form (via Ben Baby of ESPN).
“Like I said, the injuries were what they were last year, but we weren’t good enough in a lot of different places to make a Super Bowl run in my opinion,” shared Burrow, who was taken first overall by the Cincinnati Bengals at the 2020 NFL Draft.

Burrow said he is on pace to be cleared from his wrist injury in May, which means he will have several months to prepare for the 2024 NFL season.
“When you’re injured, your only rebuttal to the narrative is what you put on the field and how you produce, and when you’re injured, there’s no dialogue between the narrative and yourself. So I’m excited to kind of handle that in my own way and get back out there in a much better place.”
The Cincinnati Bengals missed the postseason last season after coming up with just a 9-8 record. That’s still an admirable body of work considering the games missed by Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase.
That season, Burrow appeared in only 10 games, passing for 2,309 yards and 15 touchdowns with six interceptions on 66.9 percent completion rate.
