Since he was drafted with the first overall pick in 2020, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has transcended the meaning of ‘Cult of Personality’ in the Queen City. Let’s be honest, the man has earned it after bringing this bottom dweller of an organization into a new era where they find themselves a perennial contender for the AFC Championship. Now, after he signed a contract that makes him the highest paid player in the NFL, his confidence and persona appear that they’ll continue to grow.
Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Talks About Bringing Back a Legendary Celebration

Since he put pen-to-paper and agreed to a monster $55 million salary for an additional five years, Burrow has certainly started enjoying his status a little bit more. Last month, he walked the runway in a Parisian fashion show for Vogue with his college teammate and former Offensive Player of the Year award winner Justin Jefferson. Now, he looks like he’s going to try to keep up the offseason fun with an entertaining interview with Pardon My Take.

The first thing that he was asked by his host was which team was going to win the AFC North this upcoming season.
“Bengals first, and then I don’t care,” Burrow clarified even though he plays in without a doubt the most difficult division in the league.

On top of the confidence, Burrow made a commentary to bring his new fun-loving personality to the football field by bringing back one of the better touchdown celebrations of the past twenty years.
“If I score a rushing touchdown, I might bring back the fake moon,” Burrow stated.
Burrow is referencing the fake moon taunt that legendary receiver Randy Moss did when the Minnesota Vikings defeated the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs. It was one of the most savage ways to embarrass a rival and the hosts of the snarky interview didn’t hesitate to draw some bulletin board material from the Cincinnati gunslinger.

“Do it against Pittsburgh?” was the question that the PMT host asked and obviously with his classic confidence, Burrow readily agreed. As an organization that has suffered endless taunts and maulings at the hands at the hands of the physical and sometimes annoying personality style by the successful and legendary Pittsburgh Steelers team, it would certainly be nice to be on the other side of the taunts for once.
Burrow recently gave his opinions on taunting when he told the NFL that players need to be allowed to talk trash to another. It will be fun to see the reaction from the Pittsburgh fans with their terrible towels when Burrow initiates one of the funnier celebrations in the history of the NFL.
