Joe Burrow did not need to throw a touchdown on Monday night to grab people’s attention. The Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback generated buzz on social media with his appearance at the 2025 Met Gala, attended by the who’s who of the mainstream world, including athletes, of course.
While other personalities in the event sported avant-garde ensembles, Burrow showed up in a loose-fitting blue suit and a pair of sunglasses. It wasn’t the most visually arresting fashion look in the event, but it wasn’t over the top either.
In any case, fans had a lot to say about his outfit and appearance based on the photo that was posted by the official X account of the NFL.

“His stylist consistently does him dirty. 🤦🏻♀️”
“the theme this year is well tailored suit and be somehow managed to find the baggiest ill-fitting suit ever”
“Clean up aisle my pants!”
“He puts more effort into his outfit for week seven of the season.”
“Who does he think he is, Joe Cool the Camel guy?”
“Slipping the edge of the sleeve under the watch is an all time move.”
Will making the NFL playoffs be ‘en vogue’ again for the Cincinnati Bengals?

And just like in football, Burrow found himself under intense scrutiny from folks on social media who were simply scrolling up and down the timelines.
In any case, Bengals fans are more excited to see Burrow in Cincinnati colors come the 2025 NFL season. Burrow and the Bengals are looking to rebound from back-to-back 9-8 seasons, during which Cincinnati failed to make it to the NFL playoffs.
In 2024, Burrow, the top-overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, passed for 4,918 yards and 43 touchdowns against eight interceptions on a 70.6 percent completion rate.
