The Kansas City Chiefs are going into the 2025 off-season figuring out what went wrong in Super Bowl 59 and how to prevent it from happening again. A 40-22 loss prevented Kansas City from becoming the first NFL team since the 1960s Green Bay Packers to win three championships in a row.
However, one former Super Bowl champion is going through a different battle.

In a since-deleted social media post, NFL wide receiver Kadarius Toney broke his silence following his arrest:
On Wednesday, news emerged that Kadarius Toney was arrested for allegedly choking his pregnant girlfriend in metro Atlanta, Georgia. The former 2021 first-round pick has been charged with aggravated assault and obstructing/harassing 911 calls.
The audio of the disturbing phone call has since been released. The woman, who made the call on Jan. 14, claims that Toney attacked her while she was holding her daughter.
Per TMZ Sports, Toney took to Instagram to break his silence on the arrest in a post that he deleted minutes later. Toney’s Instagram story showed him in a hat and mask with a caption that read, “Mfs say anything when they think they right” before quickly taking it down.
While he has not yet issued a statement on the matter itself, Toney is currently facing charges of obstruction/harassment of 911 calls and aggravated assault-strangulation. His post on Thursday certainly appeared to indicate he believes he is innocent.
