There was a lot of hype surrounding Caleb Williams before the season even began. The thing is, the Chicago Bears quarterback hasn’t set the league on fire, leading to his current place among the top rookies for the 2024-25 campaign.

In Week 6 of the NFL, the Bears showcased an impressive performance, defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars 35-16, driven by Williams. The rookie displayed remarkable poise, throwing for multiple touchdowns and solidifying his status as a key player in the league. The Bears’ offense was efficient, capitalizing on both passing and rushing opportunities, as they consistently moved the ball downfield.

Other standout games included the San Francisco 49ers’ victory over the Seattle Seahawks, where the 49ers maintained their dominance in the NFC West. The Houston Texans also made headlines with a commanding win against the New England Patriots, highlighting their offensive prowess.

The Baltimore Ravens secured a narrow 30-23 win over the Washington Commanders, showcasing their resilience despite ongoing injuries in the secondary. Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions made a statement by demolishing the Dallas Cowboys 47-9, demonstrating their potential as serious contenders this season.

Overall, this week was marked by explosive offensive performances and critical wins that could shape the playoff landscape as the season progresses. Teams are beginning to establish their identities, and as we move into the later weeks, the intensity will only increase. For fans and analysts alike, the statistical nuances from this week’s games provide valuable insights into team strategies and player developments, setting the stage for the remainder of the season.

Chicago Bears’ Caleb Williams Lands in 7th Spot in Bleacher Report’s Top 2024 NFL Rookie List

Unlike Washington Commanders’ Jayden Daniels, Williams didn’t really begin the season well for Chicago. This slow start can be considered a factor in the quarterback’s positioning in Bleacher Report’s top rookie list this season.

The version of Caleb Williams that so many expected based on being the No. 1 overall pick has officially arrived for the Chicago Bears.

The 22-year-old experienced a slow start, which is fine for any rookie signal-caller who is in the lineup from Day 1. He didn’t see things well and made some poor decisions.

As the game started to slow down, though, his natural playmaking and throwing talents have taken over.

According to Pro Football Focus, Williams is 20-of-30 passing for 313 yards and seven touchdowns over the last three games when targeting receivers past the sticks. Chicago won each of those contests.

His short game is thriving as well. The USC product finished 13-of-14 passing, with three touchdowns, on quick throws during Sunday’s 35-16 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Williams is making significant strides in the NFL, moving up the rookie rankings after a standout performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He threw four touchdown passes, showcasing his playmaking ability and command of the offense.

This success follows a gradual adjustment period, where he has begun to thrive as the game slows down for him. As he continues to improve, Williams is solidifying his status as a top contender among this year’s rookie class, proving he can be a game-changer for the Bears moving forward.
