The Carolina Panthers’ head coach rumor mills have already begun to churn…
Greg Olsen, currently Fox Sport’s lead analyst alongside play-by-play lead, Kevin Burkhardt, put together a hall-of-fame esque career during his 13 year span in the National Football League. The majority of which, after being selected initially by the Chicago Bears in the 2007 NFL draft, was spent with the Carolina Panthers, who have just fired first year head coach, Frank Reich.
Now, it seems like, per reports from theScore, Greg Olsen may be interested in moving into the coaching business.

Why Is Greg Olsen Interested In The Carolina Panthers Job?
This is not necessarily purely incidental timing, as Tom Brady, who recently signed a 10 year, $375 million broadcasting deal with Fox, will reportedly start his new gig in 2024 after taking this year as a sabatical.
And Greg Olsen is more than aware that Fox is not paying the GOAT nearly $38 million/year to be their number 2 or backup analyst in the booth. In all likelihood, Olsen will no longer be calling Fox’s premier games, including playoff appearances and last year being on the call for Super Bowl LVII – despite heavily impressing in his role.
So it makes sense for Olsen to be interested in moving away from a second-tier announcing position, especially if it means losing his partner in crime, Kevin Burkhardt – who may end up being paired with Tom Brady when he finally arrives.
As for the Carolina Panthers, hiring a head coach with 0 experience seems a little to Irsay-an, even for someone as impulsive and hands-on as owner David Tepper, who has demonstrated that stock market prowess does not always lead to strong ownership.
Although, it would not be a total shock if Olsen finds himself somewhere on the Carolina Panthers coaching staff – offensive assitant, tight ends coach – even if it is simply to bide time to replace a retiring Chris Collingsworth or fired Kirk Herbstreit (I would bet more on the latter) sometime in the near future.
