Unless there’s a shocking trade before the 2025 NFL draft, the Tennessee Titans will be the first team on the clock this Thursday night. The Titans are expected by many to use their top pick to get themselves a shiny new quarterback, particularly Miami Hurricanes product Cam Ward.
Ward appears to be all ready to become a Titan. A day before the draft, Ward spoke highly of Tennessee and the people behind the team.
Via Jim Wyatt of the Titans’ official website:
“I got a chance to learn more about (the Titans) personally over the last couple of months, and I am excited to hopefully hear my name called first, to go to a good organization like that,” Ward said at an NFLPlay60 event on Wednesday, just outside Lambeau Field. “They have a great owner, a great GM, great assistant GM, great president. The team there, they have a pretty elite team, in my opinion – they don’t get enough credit on paper for what they really are. So, if I am there, I know it will turn out good.”
Will the Tennessee Titans trade Will Levis?

The Titans won just three games in the 2024 season while accumulating 14 losses, with Will Levis starting 12 games under center. Mason Rudolph, who is now with the Pittsburgh Steelers, appeared in eight games and started in five.
With the Titans seemingly set on drafting Ward, Levis could soon be on his way out of Tennessee, perhaps via a trade. That remains to be seen, though, that’s not going to be a huge surprise if the team chooses to go that direction, presumably with Ward in the fold.
Taken in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2023 NFL draft, Levis has two more years left on his current contract that will pay him just north of $1 million in each of those years, including 2025.
