Cam Newton might have retired from the NFL, but he’s constantly hitting the headlines for various reasons. Mostly, Newton has been the center of criticism. The former Carolina Panthers QB was recently trolled by YouTuber Kai Cenat and RJ Druski for his outfit at the 2024 BET Awards.
Newton loves to dress up whenever he gets the opportunity, and he never backed down from the mega awards show. He wore a sleeveless floral vest with matching pants. Newton also sported a brown cowboy hat with a green-colored neck scarf and his signature glasses.
Cenat and Druski trolled Cam Newton’s outfit while they were in the audience. Both couldn’t stop talking about it, and they burst into laughter, saying that his outfit looked like a tablecloth.
The clip of Cenat and Druski trolling Cam Newton went viral on social media. The clip showed Newton standing on stage while Cenat and Druski continued to laugh from their seats.

Newton took the opportunity to announce his new show at the BET Awards in 2025. He mentioned that he would be co-hosting the “106 & Sports” with Ashley Nicole Moss.
Cam Newton Defends Shilo Sanders After Antonio Brown Posts Edited Clips
Cam Newton speaks his mind and never holds back if he feels right. Recently, former wide receiver Antonio Brown posted a video of Shilo Sander struggling during his training session. It turns out that Brown took a jibe at the Sanders family, accusing Deion Sanders of helping his sons.
Newton never hesitated to call out Brown for his video. The former QB questioned Brown why he posted only two clips of Sanders working out.
“In defense of Shilo, he’s trying to carve out a place on the team. He was a youngin’, and you’re talking about A.B. in his prime going against a teenager? That’s not a fair matchup. The release of that content was not ideal for Shilo’s situation,” Cam Newton said.
It’s not the first time Newton has spoken out. He’s been vocal to those whom he feels are wrong. Brown has been pretty critical of the Sanders family. He’s often called out Deion Sanders for helping Shedeur and Silo Sanders.
Newton is all excited with his new show as he looks forward to having a good time debating, laughing and arguing.
