Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams quarterback, recently opened up on not having a son in the latest episode of his wife Kelly Stafford’s podcast ‘The Morning After’. The couple currently has four daughters together, Sawyer, Chandler, Hunter and Tyler. After the birth of Tyler, the pair seems to have taken a break from expanding their family.
Despite their happiness with four daughters, it looks like Stafford still gets asked about not having a son of his own. In his latest podcast appearance, the Los Angeles Rams starting quarterback spoke much about this topic.
“I thought it would be extra challenging if we did have a boy. I’ve known what it’s like to have expectations since I was 15 years old or so, probably. I thank my lucky stars that I didn’t have that from six to 15. I was able to just be a kid who could throw a ball a little bit, was good at other sports, and had fun. If I had a son or if we had a boy, that was a possibility for a kid to be 8 years old and everybody at the park looking at him going, ‘Hey, why doesn’t he throw it a little better?’ When I was 8 years old, I didn’t have a care in the world as to what was going on around me,” Matthew Stafford said in Kelly Stafford’s podcast ‘The Morning After’.
Matthew Stafford and Kelly Stafford have been together ever since their days at the University of Georgia. The pair met when Matthew played college football as a quarterback and Kelly was a cheerleader for the team. After tying the knot in 2015, the couple seems to be living a solidly happy life and have four children together.

Matthew Stafford Named Underrated QB In NFL By CBS Sports Reporter
Matthew Stafford has been with the Los Angeles Rams since the 2021 NFL season and is definitely a great performer for the team. However, his name has hardly come up in the list of top mega-star quarterbacks. Still, Stafford has plenty to prove in his time with the Rams. According to journalist Jared Dubin for CBS Sports, Stafford may perhaps be the most underrated quarterback with the league as of now.

According to Dubin, Stafford is capable of doing wonders on the field when he is surrounded by talented wide receivers and is protected well. In the previous NFL season, the quarterback managed to score 20 touchdowns for the team for 3,762 passing yards.
