Cam Newton, former NFL quarterback, is about to have his ninth child, and second with current girlfriend Jasmin Brown. Newton, who is no stranger to parenting, opened up about his parenting style in a recent episode of his podcast ‘Funky Friday’ which had rapper/singer Estelle as a guest on it. Newton gave plenty of insights into what goes on in his mind when it comes to his children, and how he has been inspired heavily by his own father.

Newton and Brown have been together since 2021 and already have one child together. Despite going through ups and downs, the couple has been going strong and is currently expecting their second baby. Newton also has four children with ex-girlfriend Kia Proctor, one child with ex-girlfriend LaReina Shaw and one child with Jasmin Brown. He is also raising Jaden, LaReina Shaw’s son from a previous relationship.

“Man, my lady always says, like, give them your undivided attention. And she says, be present. Those things, it’s like, even the moment that I had, like, last night, I was like, ‘Yo, I didn’t spend my time with my children yet.’ Like, they’re with me, but I’m not giving them me, where I’m the disciplinarian, but also the cool dad. How my son looks at me is like how I looked at my dad. And my dad was beautiful, like, he did his big one when he created me.” Cam Newton said to Estelle in the most recent episode of his podcast, ‘Funky Friday’.

Cam Newton seems to be making it a point to spend more time with his children after his retirement from the NFL. Newton played the majority of his football career with the Carolina Panthers and one season with the Patriots. Newton also retired as a Panther.

Cam Newton Says 49ers Invested In Brock Purdy’s Potential

Cam Newton was certainly one of the happiest to know about Brock Purdy scoring a whopping contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers. Last week, Purdy became one of the highest-earning quarterbacks in the NFL after the 49ers gave him a pretty sweet deal.

In an episode of his podcast, Newton discussed the factors that the 49ers would have considered before investing so much in Brock Purdy. The retired quarterback also admitted that while Purdy may not have the current stats to prove his worth for so much money, the 49ers QB may actually have the potential to prove himself in the upcoming NFL seasons.
