NFL fans and pundits reacted on X to Caleb Williams‘ reported demand to NFL owners from this summer. The story resurfaced and went viral this week following Williams’ worst performance in a college uniform against Notre Dame last Saturday.
Williams and USC were dominated in a 48-20 loss to the Irish. Williams threw three first-half interceptions and only threw one touchdown in the loss. Some fans had doubts about Williams’ prospects after the game.

Per a July report from Mike Florio with NBC Sports, Williams is looking for partial ownership of whatever team he is drafted to:
“Per multiple sources, the representatives of USC quarterback Caleb Williams had been making it known to prospective agents that Williams wants partial ownership of the team that selects him in 2024, if he declares for the draft.”

Williams is considered a lock for the number one overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The 2022 Heisman winner started the year hot. But his only true test this season against a talented Notre Dame defense gave many fans pause about Williams’ demand.
