The Buffalo Bills added some explosiveness to Josh Allens’ arsenal during the 2024 NFL Draft, but could still continue upgrading the receiving corps ahead of the 2024 regular season, in the wake of trading Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans.

General manager Brandon Beane and the Bills traded back during the first-round, allowing the Kansas City Chiefs to pluck University of Texas speedster Xavier Worthy, but then rounded back to select former Florida State star Keon Coleman at the top of the second round.
But, with work still to do when it comes to overhauling the wide receiver room, Beane and the Bills could land a former first-round pick.
Could Buffalo Bills Trade for Terrace Marshall?

If the Bills aren’t content with the receiving corps they’ve already assembled, Beane could turn to the Carolina Panthers and former first-round pick Terrace Marshall, who could benefit from a change of scenery.
Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay put together a list of five trades that could happen before Week 1, and lists the Bills and Marshall as a potential fit.
“By landing with the Bills, Marshall would reunite with Joe Brady,” Kay writes for Bleacher Report. “The current offensive coordinator in Buffalo who formerly held that same role in Carolina during Marshall’s rookie year. Brady was also the passing game coordinator and wide receiver’s coach at LSU in 2019, a season in which Marshall amassed 671 yards and 13 touchdowns on 46 receptions.
That familiarity, as well as the talent of star quarterback Josh Allen—who represents a massive upgrade over the Carolina signal-callers Marshall has been paired with during his first three NFL seasons—could see Marshall hit the ground running and wind up as a surprise contributor for Buffalo in 2024.”
Marshall’s career has gotten off to a disappointing start, but, Brady got the most out of him during their time together in Carolina and knows him from his career at LSU.
Last season, Marshall caught just 19 passes for 139 yards, and the Panthers significantly upgraded at wide receiver during the NFL Draft.
Here is the trade Kay proposes:
Buffalo Bills receive: WR Terrace Marshall Jr.
Carolina Panthers receive: 2026 seventh-round pick
For the Bills, Buffalo lands a 23-year-old with first-round pedigree and upside in exchange for a meager selection, while the Panthers add some draft capital for added flexibility when it comes to potential Day 3 trades during next year’s draft.
There is little downside for either team in this deal and makes a lot of sense for both sides.
