Replacements for the upcoming Pro Bowl are beginning to trickle in, with the games nearing a week away. Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs has joined a soon-to-be long list of replacement players on the Pro Bowl roster. Per NFL insider Ari Meirov, Diggs will take the roster spot of Cleveland Browns star Amari Cooper. He will join teammates Dion Dawkins and James Cook in Orlando for the Pro Bowl games. He has earned Pro Bowl honors in all four seasons with the Bills. Only team legend Andre Reed has more Pro Bowl invites from the receiver position.
Stefon Diggs: Replacing Amari Cooper
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper played like a true star in 2023. The former Oakland Raider turned Dallas Cowboy turned Cleveland Brown played 15 games, catching 72 passes for 1,250 yards and five touchdowns. However, he will not partake in next week’s Pro Bowl, opening the door for Buffalo Bills receiver Stefon Diggs.

Cooper finished the year strong, including an 11-catch, 265-yard effort against the Houston Texans on Christmas Eve. He scored twice. He also had 109 yards and a touchdown the week prior. The five-time Pro Bowler snagged four catches for 59 yards in his team’s Super Wild Card Weekend loss to the Houston Texans. Cooper has quietly compiled a fantastic resume, breaking 1,000 receiving yards in every season but two.
Buffalo Bills Stefon Diggs: Tough Finish to Forgettable Season
The Bills are still licking their wounds after a brutal 27-24 loss at home to the Kansas City Chiefs last weekend. Stefon Diggs labored in defeat, catching just three of eight targets for 21 yards. One of Diggs’ targets, a 60-yard bomb from quarterback Josh Allen, went through the receiver’s hands. The Bills eventually settled for a game-tying field goal try, but kicker Tyler Bass missed the 44-yard attempt.
Diggs finished the season failing to eclipse the century mark in any of his last 13 games. He also didn’t find paydirt in December or January. The Maryland product last led the team in receiving yards in mid-December, a win over the Dallas Cowboys. Diggs looks to make $18.5 million in base salary next season. He will become a free agent in 2028, his age 35 season.
