The Buffalo Bills are in the midst of a blood bath of roster cuts to fix their cap space problems before free agency next week. On Wednesday afternoon, the Bills released several key members of the defense, including safety Jordan Poyer.
The Bills didn’t stop there. They cut Siran Neal, Deonte Harty, Nyheim Hines, and Tre’Davious White.
The Buffalo Bills cut Mitch Morse
Per Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the Bills released center Mitch Morse. Morse made the Pro Bowl for the 2022 season. For the 2024 season, Morse will be replaced by Connor McGovern from guard to center.

The Bills are getting their cap situation in order
Per Adam Schefter with ESPN, the cuts will help the Bills’ books by nearly $36 million after June 1. However, the team will still be in the red by nearly $4 million for the upcoming season.
The Bills' cuts of S Jordan Poyer, C Mitch Morse, CB Siran Neal, WR Deonte Harty, and RB Nyheim Hines will create approximately $25.96M in salary cap space.

The Bills have more moves to make
The Bills still have cuts and restructured decisions to make this offseason. The team has to shed more cap as they will need money to sign free agents and draft picks this spring.
