The Buffalo Bills must feel good heading into their primetime matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Per Adam Schefter, Bills star quarterback Josh Allen will head into the weekend without an injury designation.
Allen missed Wednesday’s practice due to a shoulder injury but practiced in full on Thursday and Friday. The Bills will play on SNF against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9.
Josh Allen: The Buffalo Bills Offense Goes as Allen Does
Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen has had an up-and-down season. He leads the NFL with a 71.7% completion percentage and has thrown for 2,165 yards and 17 scores. Allen has also added five rushing touchdowns. However, he has thrown eight interceptions. In the Bills three losses, Allen has tossed five touchdowns against five interceptions. His two lost fumbles also came in losses.
Allen, a two-time Pro-Bowler, finished third in MVP voting last season, racking up 4,283 yards and 35 passing touchdowns against 14 picks. He was also the MVP runner-up in 2020, throwing for a career-high 4,544 yards and 37 touchdowns. He also scored eight times via the ground.
Buffalo Bills: Quarterback Room Sans Josh Allen
Kyle Allen and Shane Buechele are the other quarterbacks on the roster. Allen is one of the better backups in the NFL, having thrown 26 touchdowns against 21 interceptions in his six-year career. However, he threw for just 416 yards and two touchdowns against four picks in two starts with the Houston Texans in 2022.
Meanwhile, Buechele, an undrafted free agent in 2021, is in his first year with the Bills. However, he has not played in a regular season game. The 25-year-old went 29-of-45 for 347 yards and three scores against three picks in the preseason.
