Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane makes a statement about trading up to get quarterback Josh Allen.
Buffalo Bills GM Brandon Beane stood in front of the media Tuesday and made a statement no one expected about his franchise quarterback. The question was about making moves within the draft. He returned to his position when he moved up to draft his now-star quarterback, Josh Allen.

“We got criticized a little bit for how much we gave up for Josh, and I’m like, well if he doesn’t work out I’m not going to be here anyway and if he does work out, no one is going to give a shit.”
Wise words from a wise man.
Buffalo Bills Draft Josh Allen
The Buffalo Bills drafted Josh Allen in 2018 out of Wyoming. He was a top prospect, but as we have seen many times, questions accompanied the player.
The Bill traded into the seventh spot to select Josh. They swapped the seventh pick for the 12th pick, then added two second-round picks (the 53rd and 56th pick). It turns out Beane knew what he was doing.
Josh Allen has thrown for over 22,700 yards and 167 touchdowns in his six seasons in the NFL. He has yet to reach the Super Bowl in his stellar career, but some may say it is not his fault. The blame can be placed on Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow. He has only lost to those two in the playoffs during his time; each has gone on to play or win the Super Bowl during those years.
Buffalo Bills 2024 Draft
Brandon Beane has the 28th overall pick in this year’s draft. Some may look at the defensive side of the ball for additions. Others may say that adding weapons will help out Josh Allen.
Regardless of where they may go, Beane has proven that his status as the GM is not in jeopardy as long as Josh Allen remains playing at a high level.
