The Buffalo Bills enter Week 18 with plenty at stake regarding the playoffs. A win will earn them the two seed, but a loss paired with a Jacksonville Jaguars and Pittsburgh Steelers win, and the Bills will miss the postseason entirely. However, Bills fans have taken to social media over the past few days to discuss a topic of controversy instead. The NFL announced its initial Pro Bowl rosters on Wednesday, and the Buffalo faithful were not pleased with the exclusion of star quarterback Josh Allen.

Bills fans were further displeased with Kansas City Chiefs gunslinger Patrick Mahomes earning a roster spot over Allen. Mahomes, alongside Miami Dolphins gunslinger Tua Tagovailoa and Baltimore Ravens MVP favorite Lamar Jackson, round out the quarterbacks selected for the 2024 Pro Bowl. Bills fans took to Twitter (also known as X) to voice their displeasure with Mahomes earning a Pro Bowl nod over Allen.
Buffalo Bills Fans Disgusted with Patrick Mahomes Headed to Pro Bowl over Josh Allen
A pattern of snubbing Josh Allen.
Remember this when they give the MVP award to a guy with just 29 touchdowns who scores barely half his team's points.

Jalen Hurts is an alternate, Josh Allen didn't even make it, and C.J. Stroud, who was arguably the best QB this season, didn't make the #Probowl, but Pat Mahomes made it???? #NFL https://t.co/UZhr9dvedv pic.twitter.com/k91MlgMxTS

Mahomes making the Pro Bowl over Josh Allen just goes to show it’s a popularity contest.
Look at the numbers. Look at the touchdowns. Look at their records.
I’d like to see the justification for this.#BillsMafia

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen: Hefty Touchdown and Turnover Numbers in 2023
Josh Allen enters Week 18 with 3,947 yards passing, 27 passing touchdowns, and 16 interceptions. He has also run 96 times for 457 yards and a ludicrous 15 touchdowns. The Wyoming product has the Bills on a four-game winning streak, accumulating nine touchdowns to three turnovers during that span.
Allen’s 42 total touchdowns are impressive, but his turnover problem has become an issue. The dual-threat signal-caller has turned the ball over 19 times this season. Only Washington quarterback Sam Howell has thrown more interceptions. However, Allen has accounted for all but seven of the Bills’ offensive touchdowns this season.
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes: Worst Statistical Season Since Becoming Full-Time Starter
Mahomes will sit during his team’s season finale on Sunday, meaning he will finish the year with 4,183 yards passing, 27 passing touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. The 14 interceptions are a career-high, while the 4,183 passing yards are a new career low since taking over as the team’s starter in 2018.
Mahomes also posted career-worst percentages in yards per attempt, yards per game, touchdown percentage, and success rate. However, Mahomes will represent the Chiefs, alongside center Creed Humphrey, defensive lineman Chris Jones, tight end Travis Kelce, and guard Joe Thuney, at the 2024 Pro Bowl.
